JACKS FOR WOMEN
Let’s tell you all about Jacks for Women
Jacks for Women has been at the heart of Market Harborough’s thriving independent shopping scene since Gill and Paul opened the business more than 25 years ago.
And over the years they’ve built something really special at their Church Street store - a clothing boutique that customers trust; a business that people in town know and respect.
And having been serving the community for more than a quarter of a century they have got to know their customers and have a knack for sourcing the perfect pieces for them.
In fact many little girls who came into the store with their mums years ago, shop at Jacks themselves now they’ve grown up. Gill and Paul and the team are rather proud of that and actually it’s a testament to the collections they put together and the connections they make with everyone who steps through the door.
Maybe a career in fashion and retail was always on the cards for Gill as, growing up, she loved fabrics and costumes. She remembers carefully draping the family’s pet Beagle Maggie with lengths of net curtain, and being excited to visit the Biba shop in London with her mum. It all paved the way and after leaving school Gill worked in London at Dickins & Jones on Regent Street, Pronuptia on Oxford Street and… Chanel, in Mayfair.
And she brought everything she learned to Jacks, where she puts customers right at the top of the list - building trust and making sure they’re listened to, and that they get the very best service… and find pieces they’ll love to wear.
